Since 2003, BMW has also been using an anti-fog sensor that controls the air conditioning system.In most cases, it is possible to remove the optical unit from the old windshield, but the adhesive plate - the crystal-clear adhesive connection between the optical unit and the windshield - must be replaced. Depending on the model, this can be very time-consuming. It is quicker and easier to use a new optical unit (all our optical units are already fitted with an adhesive plate) and only original parts should be used to ensure that the complex control electronics function perfectly. All sensors/optical units offered by us are therefore exclusively original parts. The reproduction parts offered elsewhere may lead to problems during installation or even malfunctions.
