The Express® HydroBlade blades have a series of round indentations punched into the side facing away from the glass. These indentations are shaped in such a way that they transport the cutting lubricant into the adhesive bead. The lubricant allows the blade to slide more easily into the adhesive bead with each stroke. Apart from the easier cutting process, the lower friction of the blade also leads to lower battery consumption and reduces the vibrations of the device.
